Dairy Day 2007:
"Hay, Hay It was a grand Dairy Day!"
Plenty of sunshine, mild temperatures, lack of humidity, lots of entertainment, and a tremendous crowd of people all played a part in a very memorable Dryden Dairy Day on June 9th. The streets of Dryden were lined with people to watch the parade while over 55 vendors prepared their displays in Montgomery Park. The opening ceremony included the introduction of the Cortland and Tompkins County Dairy Princess and their courts, along with a reminder to thank the sponsors of this annual event which celebrates the number one industry in Tompkins County and NYS – dairy farming and agriculture. Local youth talent from the Dryden junior and senior high schools entertained the crowd for several hours. There were plenty of games to play, contests to enter, and food to eat!
Members of Dryden Grange and the Dryden Dairy Day Committee would like to
thank everyone who helped make the 23rd Dryden Dairy Day a day to remember! We
always welcome comments, recommendations for improvement, and especially some
extra hands to help keep the event a strong and vibrant part of the community.
